Service Presentation

Nursing care provided at home with professional assistance

TI Medicare is a home care and assistance service established in 2021 by Antonio Sampaio. The initiative was inspired by the strength and resilience of his brother, Giuseppe, who always faced life with a smile despite his disability. Antonio's direct experience with the challenges and daily needs faced not only by individuals with disabilities but also by those around them fueled the desire to create a service in the field of nursing care and healthcare.

TI Medicare is a private Spitex service recognized by all Swiss health insurance funds under mandatory basic insurance (LAMal), placing the individual at the center of care and ensuring the dignity and respect to which everyone is entitled. Our team comprises various professionals in the field with proven experience in different areas of care. Interventions for care and assistance are meticulously planned and executed based on the individual needs of our users. We operate in the Sottoceneri region with qualified personnel specializing in general care and mental health.

We operate seven days a week, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Outside of these hours, users will be directed to Emergency Services in the area. The primary purpose of our service is to provide personalized nursing care at the individual's home, focusing on recovery and maintaining autonomy while considering the person's limits and resources. Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and older. Quality and professionalism are fundamental aspects of our services, ensured and improved through constant monitoring, enhancement, and continuous training of our team.

We actively collaborate and coordinate with other services and public entities in the area, including general practitioners, hospitals, private clinics, hospices, independent nurses, social workers, and caregivers.

Care Services

We offer assessments and advice to users and their families on various aspects of daily life, including the use of specific aids and the necessary procedures to obtain them. Moreover, we provide guidance on preventing pressure injuries and actively coordinate activities with local services, particularly in cases of complications arising from complex and unstable care situations.

We perform all examinations and nursing care that can be administered at home, including monitoring vital signs, checking blood glucose levels, managing stomas, conducting blood samples and injections, as well as preparing and administering medications. Additionally, we handle bladder catheterization and its management, along with both simple and complex dressings.

Through basic care, we support our users in remaining in the comfort of their homes, providing excellent healthcare and contributing to maintaining an optimal quality of life in their own residence.

The care of users with psychiatric issues is entrusted to a team of specialized collaborators with years of experience in this field.

The primary objective is to maintain mental stability, enabling individuals to reside in their homes and experience the best possible quality of life. Interventions are personalized and continually reassessed based on the evolution of the clinical picture and psychiatric illness.
